Auto Car Finder Copyright & Intellectual Property Complaint Policy

1. Purpose

• another dealer’s or seller’s listing photos;
• another business’s logo, branding, or dealership materials;
• copied vehicle descriptions, brochures, or website text;
• watermarked images or copyrighted media taken from third-party sites.

4. What can be reported

You may report content on Auto Car Finder if you believe it unlawfully uses:

• your photographs or videos;
• your dealership logo or branding;
• your written listing content or marketing copy;
• your trademarks or copyrighted material;
• any other material in which you own or control the relevant rights.

5. How to submit a complaint

To report alleged intellectual property infringement, contact Auto Car Finder using the contact details below and include as much detail as possible so that we can identify and assess the content quickly.

6. Information required

Your complaint should include:

• your full name and contact details;
• the business name or rights-holder name, if applicable;
• the listing URL, page URL, or direct link to the content complained of;
• a description of the material you say is infringed;
• evidence showing that you own or control the relevant rights;
• a short explanation of why the content is infringing;
• a statement that the information provided is true to the best of your knowledge.

7. Our review process

Once we receive a complaint, Auto Car Finder may review the complaint, inspect the reported content, request further information, and contact the relevant user or advertiser for a response where appropriate.

We may take into account the clarity of the complaint, the evidence provided, the nature of the rights claimed, and the risk posed by leaving the content live during review.

8. Temporary action and removal

Depending on the case, Auto Car Finder may:

• remove the complained-of content;
• disable access to the content temporarily;
• request that the user replace or correct the content;
• limit visibility of the relevant listing or page;
• take further moderation action against the account if warranted.

9. Repeat infringement

Users who repeatedly upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights may face stronger enforcement action, including repeated removals, listing restrictions, account suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

10. False or abusive complaints

Complaints must be made honestly and in good faith. Auto Car Finder may refuse, ignore, or take action in respect of complaints that are clearly abusive, knowingly false, misleading, or used to unfairly interfere with a competitor or another user.

11. Counter-notice or response

If content you uploaded is removed or limited following an intellectual property complaint, you may contact Auto Car Finder with your response, explanation, permission record, licence, or other supporting material showing why the content should be reinstated.

Submission of a response does not guarantee reinstatement, but we may review the matter again where appropriate.
