Buying on Auto Car Finder
Is Auto Car Finder the seller of the vehicles?
No. Auto Car Finder is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers. Unless we expressly say otherwise, the vehicle is sold by the relevant dealer or seller, not by Auto Car Finder.
Can I buy a car directly on the website?
In most cases, you use the website to find vehicles and contact the seller or dealer. The actual sale, inspection, payment, and transfer usually happen directly between the buyer and seller.
How do I know if a listing is genuine?
Always verify the seller, inspect the vehicle, review the documents, and be careful with deposits. We also use moderation and duplicate-checking tools, but buyers should still do their own checks before proceeding.
Selling & Listings
How do I list a vehicle on Auto Car Finder?
You can create an account, complete the listing form, upload vehicle details and images, and submit the listing for review where applicable.
Why is my listing not live yet?
Listings may be pending review, awaiting payment, missing information, flagged for a policy check, or held for moderation. If your listing has not gone live, contact us with the listing details and we can investigate.
Why was my listing flagged as a duplicate?
Our systems may detect overlap in VIN-related information, photos, stock details, descriptions, pricing, or other listing signals. A duplicate flag does not always mean wrongdoing, but it may trigger review before publication.
Can I edit my listing after publishing?
Yes, in most cases you can edit your listing through your account or dashboard. Changes may be subject to review depending on the nature of the update.
Dealers & Advertising
Do you offer dealer packages or featured adverts?
Yes. Auto Car Finder may offer featured listings, dealer packages, premium placements, and other advertising products. Contact us for package information or advertising support.
Do paid adverts guarantee leads or sales?
No. Paid products may improve visibility, but they do not guarantee lead volume, enquiry quality, or completed sales.
Can dealers use the same photos across multiple listings?
Listing media should accurately represent the actual vehicle being advertised. Reusing photos in a misleading way or copying another seller’s images without permission is not allowed.
Payments & Billing
Are listing fees refundable?
In general, once a paid service has been activated or delivered, it is usually non-refundable unless required by law or unless we decide otherwise in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What must I do if I was charged twice?
Contact us with your payment reference, invoice details, and a short description of the issue. If we confirm a billing error, we may correct it with a refund, credit, or other suitable remedy.
Finance Tools
Does the finance calculator guarantee approval?
No. Finance and affordability tools are estimates only. They are not financial advice, not an approval, and not a guarantee that finance will be granted.
Why is the estimated repayment different from the final quote?
Final repayments can differ because of the interest rate, deposit, term, fees, insurance, lender requirements, and your personal credit profile.
Safety & Moderation
How do I report a suspicious listing?
Contact us with the listing link, the reason for concern, and any supporting screenshots or information. We may review the listing under our moderation, fraud, or duplicate-check policies.
Do you display full VIN numbers publicly?
Not always. Auto Car Finder may use VIN-related data internally for moderation, duplicate detection, and fraud prevention while limiting what is displayed publicly.
Can Auto Car Finder remove a listing?
Yes. We may reject, limit, label, hold, or remove listings that breach our Terms, listing rules, advertising standards, or fraud-prevention policies.
